Speeding Driver Kills Two on Texas Hwy. 288

It is an unfortunate reality that travelers cannot know what the drivers around them are going to do. As a result, a family can become unexpectedly involved in a fatal car accident due to the actions of another driver. Some drivers may have gotten behind the wheel after drinking or they may be traveling at excessive rates of speed that could result in injuries or death if a collision occurs.

A family in Texas is undoubtedly grieving after their loved ones were involved in a fatal car accident. According to reports, a family’s vehicle was hit in the rear by a speeding vehicle, which resulted in fatal injuries for some individuals. Authorities believe the driver of a silver vehicle was traveling at speeds near 100 miles per hour before it collided with the family’s vehicle.

A 35-year-old male and a 15-year-old female suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Another female and a 3-year-old girl in that same vehicle were taken to an area hospital with injuries, though they do not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the silver vehicle was transported to a hospital as well, and authorities believe that alcohol may have played a factor in the crash and are awaiting test results to confirm.

A Texas Fatal Car Accident Attorney can Help Win Financial Compensation

A sudden, fatal car accident can have significant impacts on everyone involved. The surviving family members may need much time to fully grasp the outcome of the accident, and they may also face many burdens resulting from the fatal crash. If the driver of the other vehicle is found to have been intoxicated at the time of the accident, the chances of success for a wrongful death claim filed on behalf of the victims could increase. A successful claim could potentially allow the surviving family to be entitled to compensation for damages permitted under Texas law, if they choose to pursue a case.
