Houston, Texas Bus Wreck Causes Injuries

Accidents that involve multiple vehicles have a high potential of becoming quite serious and resulting in numerous injuries. The size of the vehicles involved can also play a significant role in how the collision plays out. For example, a bus accident brings in factors such as a considerably large vehicle as well as multiple passengers that could be potentially injured. These factors did, indeed, play a role in an accident that occurred in Texas.

According to reports, the driver in front of a Metro bus came to a sudden stop, which resulted in the bus coming in contact with the rear of the first vehicle. The impact caused the first vehicle to hit the vehicle in front of it, and the third vehicle hit a fourth vehicle as a result. There were seven people reported as being injured as an outcome of the collisions.

Four of the people injured were passengers on the bus, and the three other injured parties were occupants of the first vehicle. The extent of their injuries was not reported, though it was mentioned that there were complaints of neck and back injuries. At this time, the driver of the first vehicle has been cited with failure to control speed.

A Texas Bus Accident Atorney can Help Win Financial Compensation

The bus accident luckily did not result in any fatalities, but neck and back injuries can be serious setbacks for those who sustained them. Those parties could be at risk for lost wages due to needing time away from work to recover. Losing income can have a significantly negative impact on an individual, especially if medical bills are also mounting due to treatment of injuries. In an attempt to battle such damages, those affected may wish to look into personal injury laws in Texas to determine whether they may have cause to file a claim against the driver deemed at fault in order to possibly gain monetary compensation for their resulting financial struggles.
