Family Seeks $1M from Logging Company

When vehicles are stopped in which it is difficult to see, an accident could occur due to another driver not anticipating a stopped vehicle ahead. In such a situation, a truck accident could occur that could result in a party becoming seriously injured. If the truck driver could have potentially been at fault for parking his tractor trailer in an area of limit sight ability, the injured party or family could wish to pursue legal action for damages.

A family in Texas is currently seeking litigation against a logging company after their loved one was involved in an accident with one of the company’s logging trucks. According to reports, the truck driver stopped his rig on the side of a road in an area which had limited sight ability due to being stopped between a hill and a curve in the roadway, and it was also noted that the weather was wet and foggy. An approaching pickup truck then collided with the stopped rig.

The driver of the pickup suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. The family is currently claiming negligence on the part of the trucking company. They are seeking over $1 million in compensation for the accident.

A truck accident that results in a fatality should be taken seriously. The family has obviously explored their legal options and has chosen to pursue a claim against the logging company. As their case proceeds, they may wish to stay informed of options that may be available to them as they seek compensation for their loss and other damages permitted under Texas law.
