Fiery Car Crash on Texas Highway Causes Deaths

In instances where a driver makes a serious error and an accident occurs, authorities may consider alcohol or drugs to have contributed to the situation. Determining whether a driver was impaired could be especially important if a car accident results in the death of an individual or multiple individuals. In such a case, evidence can play a key role in the investigation.

Authorities in Texas may be hoping that evidence related to a fatal accident will reveal whether alcohol was a factor. The incident reportedly took place when an SUV was traveling in the wrong way down a roadway. As a result, that SUV collided with a second SUV. The collision then caused both vehicles to catch on fire. A third automobile was also involved after the initial crash.

Unfortunately, both SUV drivers suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The driver of the third vehicle was also injured and was considered to be in critical condition. At this time, authorities suspect that the wrong-way driver had likely consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel. None of the identities of the individuals involved have been released as of the time of the report.

A Texas Car Wreck Attorney can Help Win Financial Compensation

Though the wrong-way driver was killed in the car accident, the family of the other victim and the injured party may still have the option to seek compensation. The estate of the driver considered responsible could potentially have claims filed against it in order to seek restitution for losses and damages resulting from the Texas incident. Information on following such a route could be helpful for individuals close to the victims who may be interested.
