Texas Bus Accident Results in Lawsuit

When multiple streets converge at an intersection, drivers can have numerous aspects to consider. They must pay attention to any traffic signals or signs that they may need to follow, and they also need to be aware of other drivers approaching the same intersection. If a bus driver does not consider these aspects, the large vehicle could collide with another vehicle in a bus accident.

Such an accident took place in Texas, and an injured party has filed a claim. It was reported that the bus was traveling west when the driver apparently did not stop at a stop sign. As a result, the bus collided with another vehicle that had the right-of-way while traveling south. The collision resulted in the driver of the southbound vehicle suffering serious injuries.

The injured driver claims that his injuries will likely be permanent. As a result, he is seeking compensation from the driver of the bus as well as the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission. The commission has also been named due to liability for apparently owning the bus involved in the accident. It was unclear whether the man was seeking a specific amount in damages and interest.

A Texas Commercial Vehicle Accident Lawyer can Help Win Financial Compensation

As the Texas case moves forward, the man may want to determine what evidence he may be able to present that could help his case. Information on situations similar to his could also potentially be beneficial. Gaining knowledge on the civil court process for pursuing a personal injury case resulting from a bus accident may allow him to better understand how to work toward his desired outcome.
