Hit and Run Case Claims Life in Arlington

As of Friday night, an alleged assailant remained at large while a family grieved the loss of a special young woman. Texas authorities continue to search for an unknown driver involved in a hit and run accident. Investigators are studying film caught by a security camera from a business located near the scene of the tragedy in hopes of furthering their investigation.

The young lady killed in the accident was a university student who had plans to spend an upcoming semester studying overseas. Her grief-stricken parents describe their daughter as being a lively advocate for women’s rights who had aspirations to run for political office. They added that she had served the nation as a Congressional page and had talents and dreams that could have benefited the future of the nation.

The student’s dreams were brought to an abrupt halt when an unknown assailant struck the student with his vehicle as she made her way across a crosswalk. A witness described the speeding vehicle to police as an older SUV. Film footage from a nearby business security camera shows two vehicles approaching the intersection where the accident occurred, slowing down and then at least one of them speeding off. Automobile pieces found at the scene are being studied in an effort to identify and, ultimately, locate the vehicle which is thought to have hit the young woman.

A Personal Injury Attorney can Help Win Financial Compensation

Should an arrest ultimately be made in conjunction with the hit and run accident that led to their daughter’s untimely death, the parents of the Texas student may choose to file a legal suit in order to seek redress for the immense personal losses brought about by the sudden death of their daughter. In similar situations, family members have been awarded financial compensation as the result of successfully litigated civil cases. When compensation is awarded, it can assist a family as it works through the aftermath of a loss.
