Lubbock Car Crash Claims Life of 21-Year Old

Some witnesses to a recent tragedy say that a certain intersection is known for its danger. A fatal car accident turned the Texas road into a tragic scene Tuesday afternoon. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. Those who have spoken out on the issue say that changes are needed in order to prevent more accidents in the future.

According to reports, the driver of a pickup truck was headed east on Highway 62-82 when he allegedly struck a vehicle at the intersection. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. Sadly, the 21-year-old driver of the other automobile was pronounced dead at the site by first responders.

The local mayor added his public opinion to those of other residents, saying that he believes the intersection poses a danger to the community. He has advocated for changes to be made to help improve safety in that particular area of travel. The intersection was closed for several hours after the crash so that investigators could clear the area of wreckage and debris.

Family Members can Receive Financial Compensation with the Help of an Attorney

To lose a loved one in a fatal car accident is a devastating experience. Texas family members who suffer this type of grave loss are often faced with intense grief as well as stress that is sometimes caused by unexpected financial costs with regard to funeral expenses, loss of wages (if the deceased was a breadwinner) and/or emotional pain and suffering. It might be helpful to know that there are legal professionals available, who have experience in dealing with motor vehicle accidents and could offer guidance to those who wish to consider filing a claim in court. Any compensation awarded through successful proceedings would help absorb costs incurred due to a loved one’s sudden death.
