Details Released in Texas Commercial Vehicle Crash
When traveling on the nation’s roadways, it is imperative for drivers to remember that there are inherent hazards associated with automotive travel. In many cases, these dangers lie in the actions of other drivers, which are impossible to control and difficult to anticipate. News of a recent commercial vehicle accident in Texas highlights these types of dangers, and has resulted in the loss of one man’s life.
The crash took place shortly before 6:40 p.m. on a recent Wednesday. Upon early investigation, police believe that the driver of a Peterbilt truck with a tanker trailer in tow was heading westbound on F.M. 1787. The driver of that truck attempted to make a southbound turn onto F.M. 1492 when it collided with a Ford pickup that had been travelling eastbound on 1787.
Although the driver of the pickup truck was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, he was unable to survive his injuries. When emergency responders arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There is no mention whether the driver of the commercial vehicle sustained injury in the collision.
As the investigation into this Texas commercial vehicle accident continues, additional information may be made available concerning the causal factors in this crash. The family of the man killed in the crash is likely still coming to terms with their loss. However, if it is determined that the truck driver caused the wreck, or that the commercial vehicle was not properly maintained, a civil suit for wrongful death could be brought against the driver or the company that employs him.

BMW Recalls ActiveE for PowerTrain Problem
Texas drivers associate the BMW automotive brand with luxury, reliability and performance. BMW owners often stay with the brand for decades, moving from one model to the next within the company’s diversified line. News of a recent BMW recall has made national headlines, however, and underscores the importance of compliance with all automotive recall efforts in order to prevent a serious car accident.
The recall was issued for as many as 700 test vehicles, manufactured as 1-Series ActiveE models. The automotive giant released the test fleet under two-year lease terms, with no option to purchase the vehicles upon completion of the lease. BMW planned to evaluate the performance of the powertrain in the all-electric cars for future development purposes.
However, the company has received as many as 16 complaints from drivers related to powertrain failure. As a result, the company is recalling the vehicles, although some 340 of the cars have already been repaired while in routine service visits. The recall is an effort on the part of BMW to reduce the chance of accidents or injuries.

When a manufacturer issues a widespread recall, many consumers feel relief that a potential problem is being addressed. In this case, there are no car accident reports associated with the issue. However, in other instances individuals can sustain serious injury due to malfunction of one or more automobile components. In such cases, the first course of action following emergency medical treatment is to determine one’s rights under Texas law. Doing so can lead to a personal injury award that can help offset the costs of medical care and other damages.

Woman Dies in Central Texas Highway Crash
When a Texas driver gets behind the wheel of a car, truck or SUV, he or she assumes responsibility for the safety of any and all occupants of that vehicle. It is always important to follow the rules of the road and exert caution while driving, but when others are traveling as passengers, drivers have an even greater burden to bear. When a driver makes choices that lead to a serious car wreck, the results can include criminal charges and civil suits.
One family recently lost a loved one in a Texas car crash. The incident took place in Hill County in a recent Saturday night. Police believe that a 25-year-old man was driving a 2006 Hyundai on U.S. Highway 77 with a 35-year-old female passenger. The vehicle approached a curve in the road, and the young man apparently failed to negotiate the change in direction.
The vehicle left the roadway, entering a ditch and eventually crashing into a group of trees. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. His passenger, however, was not so lucky. She was fatally injured during the crash.

There is no report of criminal charges pending against the driver at this time. As the investigation into the Texas car wreck continues, charges could be filed in the coming weeks. In addition, the family of the deceased will retain the option of moving forward with a civil suit against the driver, should they feel that his negligence played a causal role in the crash. Doing so could result in an award of damages associated with their loss, including the woman’s final expenses.

3 Oilfield Workers Die in Texas Car Crash
When a Texas resident dies in an automobile accident, the trajectory of the lives of his or her family members is inevitably altered. The initial days and weeks following the fatal auto accident are often marked by shock, as the reality of the tragedy sets in. Once the stages of grief have passed, the family is left to deal with the loss of not only their loved one’s companionship but also of the role they played within the structure of the family.
A recent fatal crash involving two pickup trucks has left three families in this scenario. The crash occurred when the driver of one of the trucks attempted to pass another vehicle travelling in front of him. When the driver entered the northbound lane to try to pass, he encountered another pickup truck approaching from the opposite direction.
The ensuing collision ended the lives of both drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles. All three were pronounced dead when emergency responders arrived at the scene. A fourth man survived the crash, but remains hospitalized in critical condition.

There are no words that can adequately address the emotional distress of the families of the deceased. They will need both time and support to move past the fatal auto accident. As the Texas investigation continues, the final report may determine that the driver who attempted to pass was responsible for this crash. If so, the families of the victims could pursue wrongful death suits against his estate, which could help them recover some of the damages brought on by this terrible, and possibly avoidable incident.

Red-Light Runner Causes Harris County Crash
A driver reportedly failed to stop at a light and caused a Texas car accident involving several cars recently. The car accident resulted in several injuries and required the services of the fire department for people trapped in their vehicles. The driver deemed responsible received a citation, but there may be more legal troubles to come.
Authorities believe a pickup truck was heading eastbound late at night when it failed to stop at the light. The truck collided with two northbound vehicles and then struck a Jeep in another lane. First responders reported to the accident scene and had to extricate three people from one vehicle.
Four people suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. All were reported to be in stable condition. Although the driver has been issued a citation, the injured parties reserve the right to pursue personal injury claims as well.

When negligence causes or contributes to injuries, the victims have legal rights. They will likely incur medical bills as a result of their hospital stay, but they could be affected in other ways. They could miss work or have a lengthy recovery period, potentially sending their healthcare costs through the roof. Successfully litigating a personal injury lawsuit in Texas can help people in those situations. If they are able to establish that their serious injuries were caused by the negligence of another, any monetary award that is achieved may help them with the damages occasioned by their injuries as a result of the car accident.

Man Dies in Texas Hit-and-Run on Freeway
A man involved in a one-vehicle accident unfortunately became the victim of another car accident after getting out his own car on a Texas freeway. Authorities believe speed was a contributing factor to the first car accident. He was speeding on the Northwest Freeway when his Corvette crashed into a retaining wall.
The Corvette stalled out in a lane of traffic that was still moving. The man exited his vehicle, but he was struck by a pickup truck. He was transported to a local hospital, but he died of his injuries.
The truck driver failed to stop at the scene of the collision. Authorities have not provided details about the other driver, who apparently ran from the crash site. It is not clear if he was apprehended or what, if any, criminal charges he may face. A portion of the freeway was closed after the deadly wreck, most likely to afford authorities the opportunity to begin the accident investigation and clean up the debris left behind.

As Texas authorities work to piece together exactly what happened, one focus will likely be on the actions of the pickup driver. The initial details about the fatal car accident did not indicate how soon the second accident followed the first or at what speed the pickup truck was estimated to be traveling. All motor vehicle operators in Texas owe a duty of reasonable care on our roadways, and that duty extends to those whose vehicles have become disabled. As evidence of the crash is gathered, the victim’s family may elect to assess its rights to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the pickup driver, based on claims that the pickup driver was negligent in a manner that caused or contributed to the death of the victim.

Texas Driver Taken Into Custody After Hitting Woman
A car accident has resulted in a Texas woman suffering severe injuries. The woman was jogging on a sidewalk in the Galleria area when she was hit by a vehicle turning right. The car accident resulted in injuries serious enough to warrant hospitalization.
The driver was turning right, though apparently failed to look both ways. He struck an 18-year-old jogger, then stopped to wait for assistance. While the driver was arrested, the details of any criminal charges were not reported. Results concerning a sobriety check on the driver were also not disclosed.
The woman has been listed in serious condition but is said to be stable. A passenger inside of the driver’s vehicle did not sustain any injuries in the crash. It is possible the man could face formal criminal charges in the future, but it may be dependent upon the accident investigation and the results of his sobriety test.

Many car accident injuries result in debilitating physical conditions and can require lengthy recovery periods. This can affect someone’s quality of life, including their ability to work. When a Texas resident cannot work, it can place them in a difficult financial bind. Seeking personal injury compensation can help offset the costs of their medical bills or any lost wages if their claim is successful. Victims have the right to seek compensation when they are injured due to the negligence of another, so it may be in their best interests to ask for assistance to assess the viability of pursuing this form of legal relief.

Central Texas Hit-And-Run Victim Suffers Setback
A Texas woman involved in a hit-and-run car accident is still struggling with her physical recovery. The woman sustained critical injuries in the accident earlier in the month, resulting in a lengthy hospital stay and the need for physical therapy. The hit-and-run accident has caused serious financial pressure for her and her family.
The woman was struck by a red pickup truck shortly after midnight. The impact of the accident threw her several feet and resulted in two broken legs, a broken back and a shattered pelvis. The woman was in intensive care for a week and was unable to see her son for two weeks after the crash. Although she was hoping to spend time with her family soon, an unexpected development will keep her in the hospital for several more weeks.
The woman has developed a major infection in her stomach and will be required to have surgery. Unfortunately, the woman did not have insurance at the time of the accident. She also cannot work and the mounting medical bills may result in the family losing their home. The driver has not been apprehended yet, but authorities say the truck involved should have damage to the headlight on its passenger side.

Houston Man Killed by Metro Bus Avoiding Accident
A Texas bus accident has taken the life of a man in Houston. The details surrounding exactly what happened are unclear, but a disabled vehicle reportedly caused four other vehicles to crash into each other. The bus accident occurred when a bus driver attempted to avoid crashing into the other vehicles and struck a man.
The man was involved in the other crash, exited his vehicle and was walking on the freeway when he was hit by the bus. He died at the scene of the accident. In addition to the fatality, four other individuals were hurt and sent to the hospital, though none of them were thought to be in danger of losing their lives.
It is not clear if the vehicle with the flat tire was hit, or was only the catalyst for the other vehicles involved. Further, authorities did not identify which vehicle the deceased victim was operating. One passenger aboard the bus reportedly suffered minor injuries.

What appeared to be a relatively minor accident turned tragic. The combined investigation into the first accident and subsequent bus accident may take a while to sort out the details and sequence of events. For now, the injured victims and family of the deceased are likely following the progress of the official investigation as it develops. Once the accident report is received, it could help diminish some of the confusion about this accident and help determine what party or parties may have been responsible for this Texas crash. With that information, the parties may be able to assess their rights under our state laws with regard to personal injury or wrongful death claims.

A fatal auto accident in Texas can be devastating to the family who is left behind. A mother and father have lost their two sons in a bizarre and tragic crash. Although the driver has died, the family may still have legal recourse in this case. They may be able to level a wrongful death case against the driver’s estate, depending upon what the police investigation reveals, or against the person who shot the man, should that be revealed to be a third party. Doing so will not change the outcome of this sad event, but it could help the family feel as if they are holding the man responsible for the actions that tore apart their family.
